Oh, The Places You'll Go

A Longing for Forbidden Things

Dan's a smart man. He knows the difference between want and need, knows desire is not synonymous with survival.

But there are days, office-bound, when he is so close to Casey that the tiniest movement — a sweep of eyelashes, a stir of limb — disturbs the perfectly still, perfectly cool air and ripples across Dan, setting his skin crawling with desire. Electrified.

He knows he won't die if Casey doesn’t ground him, earth him with a simple touch, siphoning the current before Dan explodes. He knows this. But slowly his belief is slipping away and he wonders if he'll want to death.
