It'll develop trust, Trager says. (Or cooties, Elliot complains.)

Nervous faces, bodies wrapped in bathrobes, luminous paint daubed on hands: the Balkowski Exercise is about to begin.

Trager hits the lights and the music, robes flump to the floor and slowly but surely simple, glowing hand-shapes become multi-coloured trails as bodies bump and fingers find their way.

The music stops, seconds later the lights come up on a group of flushed people, babbling excitedly, not all wearing the same robe they started with.
