Oh, The Places You'll Go

Baby

When the clock strikes twelve

Dan doesn't believe in the biological clock. Not for men. But though he knows he can father a child into old-age (god, why?) still every day he hears the same tick tock, tick tock. The craving baffles him.

He wonders if it's about control — create someone in his own image, teach them not to make his mistakes, love them the way he had wanted to be loved.

He thinks it should be about love — wanting to share something so irreversible, so momentous with the one person who mattered most.

But Nature can't do that for him.

Dan's always liked science.
